Parents and carers are an important part of a child's treatment, but their importance in a learner's success is often overlooked. Our parent education and training extend to additional family members or carers who have regular and routine care responsibilities for the child in addition to immediate family members. This component of service delivery includes discussions, instructions, demonstrations, and practice of therapeutic skills and protocol implementation for each child and family. Our carer education and training take into account family goals and values, as well as household dynamics.
